Welcome back to Christian Sports Insider! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! As has been the tradition for many years, the Dallas Cowboys were once again on the football field yesterday. Dak Prescott was under center, and he now has Tony Romo’s blessing. However, as you watched Romo’s press conference, you could tell it wasn’t easy for the popular NFL quarterback. Still, Romo showed a tremendous amount of humility. He obviously wishes that he was leading the Cowboys, but he realizes that Prescott has earned the starting job with his play on the field. Although, that is not to say that Dak has allowed his success to go to his head. He hasn’t made the news for his trash talk after a game. Rather, he plays his heart out each week, and it is clear he is thankful for this opportunity. Ultimately, I believe Christians can learn a valuable lesson from both Romo and Prescott. Regardless of our circumstances, we should always strive to remain humble. In the case of Romo, he showed humility in the midst of an unfavorable situation. In the case of Prescott, even though things did go his way, he didn’t allow himself to become cocky or prideful. What are your thoughts? Be sure to let me know in the comments or on Twitter! I hope you enjoy your holiday weekend!
